12 Year Old Warwick Davis’ Letter to George Lucas Upon the Release of the 1983 Film, ‘Return of the Jedi’

From Willow to Harry Potter, Warwick Davies’ career has stretched decades. While he may not be instantly recognisable, the character’s he has played can easily be. Filius Flitwick (the Hogwarts Charms master), Marvin (the paranoid android) in Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy and, of course, the leprechaun from Leprechaun. His most iconic role, however, was his first. Wicket from Star Wars Episode VI: The Return Of The Jedi, the playful Ewok who (inexplicably) toppled many a Stormtrooper was 11-year-old Warwick Davies’ dream come true.

Being a huge fan of the first two films (what child isn’t?), Warwick leapt at the opportunity to meet his heroes. After production, he wrote to George Lucas asking for a very special favour. Have a look.
