“Be excellent to each other.” The Bill & Ted films have been loved by fans for their fun characters, quotable dialogue, and hilarious concepts. Reeves and Winter are terrific as the two time-traveling rockers that we love, but it’s actually pretty interesting to see them as adults instead of teenagers. Even if they’re grown up now, their personalities and mannerisms are still there. You can’t help but smile whenever Bill and Ted are on screen because they’re so likable and funny. While the two titular protagonists steal the show as always, Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine play their daughters Billie and Thea, and they’re great supporting characters. They also go on their own adventure to help their fathers, and it’s fun seeing them recruit a bunch of historical musical figures through time travel.

“Party on, dudes!” Get ready for a lot of nostalgia, because there’s going to be a ton of cool references, especially if you’re a huge Bill & Ted fan. It’s been decades since the release of the previous installments so it makes sense there would be moments that would make us look back at the other two titles. Bill & Ted Face the Music is just meant to be a good time with moviegoers, and you’re not supposed to take a premise about time-traveling slackers so seriously. That being said, some technical issues might throw you off, but they don’t compromise the movie. During some scenes, you can easily notice the green screen, but hopefully, it’s not going to bother you too much. You just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy one of the funniest films of the year.
