As much as we’d like to say how awful the VHS tape was with its numerous issues it had, that were eventually fixed in the digital era of film distribution. There is just something great (mostly badass) about VHS some covers that can’t be replicated with DVDs, Blu-Rays, or movie posters. Near the death of the VHS, this genuineness in cover art started to die while there was the emergence of the DVD case.
Luckily we’re not left with remaining collection of plastic clamshells. and torn up cardboard sleeves produced from 1970 to 2008. Artists like iamsteelberg keep the magic alive by creating amazing fan covers that look like they were just rented from RST Video.
Fingers crossed for a Turbo Kid cover.
