Movie directors are fallible human beings, just like the rest of us. Even the best in the business have their share of failures. This collection of neatly designed graphics shows the 40 critically acclaimed movie directors with what is considered to be their lowest rated films (according to Rotten Tomatoes).
Looking through the list, there is some great watching material. Here’s looking at you, Stanley Kubrick. His worst ranked film seems to be Eye’s Wide Shut (1999) with 77% of critics still recommending you watch it – so still, it’s pretty damn good overall. Then, you’ve Guy Ritchie’s mistake of riches Swept Away (2002) and the second-hand embarrassment is almost too much to bear.
The designer of the collection of graphics is named Victor Van Werkhooven and you can see his other design work on his website here.
